What Are The Metalworking Processes

There are six metal processing processes, namely casting, forging, stamping, machining, powder metallurgy and injection molding. Casting: casting is a processing method to melt and pour metal into the mold cavity corresponding to the shape and size of the parts, and wait for it to cool and solidify, so as to obtain the required parts. Casting is more suitable for the production of some large parts.

 Forging, forging is a processing method that uses forging machinery to exert pressure on metal ingredients to produce plastic deformation, so as to obtain certain mechanical properties, certain shapes and sizes. Forged keys often require machining to assist in their completion. Stamping is a processing method that applies external force to plates, strips, pipes and profiles by means of press and dies to produce plastic deformation or separation, so as to obtain the required parts.

 Machining is a process in which a tool is directly used to cut off more metal on a blank in the workshop production process to make it meet the requirements of the drawing. This is what we usually call turning, milling, planing, grinding, discharging and other processing technologies. Anyone who has studied it knows that machining is suitable for the processing of any part. Powder metallurgy is a process in which metal powder and non-metal powder are mixed as raw materials, pressed into shape, then collected and compacted, and finally the required metal concept is obtained. Its structure is relatively simple and its density is relatively high.

 Injection molding is to mix metal powder with plastic adhesive, wrap the metal powder through the melting of plastic, and then inject the mixture into the mold cavity through the injection machine. Finally, the plastic adhesive in the pure silver cleaver is removed through chemical or thermal decomposition methods, and finally collected and densified to obtain the final metal parts, which is more suitable for mass production of small parts.
